This course was developed to introduce the Drainage and Utilities Workflow and OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition tools for drainage design and modeling on Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) projects. The curriculum was developed within
the FDOTCONNECT Workspace to provide sample exercises for many of the Drainage Tools on a sample project data set. Participants of this course will be introduced to the newest OpenRoads environment and a Workflow for designing two dimensional
(2D) Plans, Profiles, and three dimensional (3D) Models for drainage related Construction Deliverables.
Virtual Registration:
A mandatory software check is required prior to the event. Details for this software check will be included in the confirmation email. Please be sure all software is up to date using the links below prior to the software check. A digital copy
of the Course Guide will be provided. The day before the event you will receive a TEAMS link to attend this virtual training lab. Make sure you have the most current version of Microsoft TEAMS prior to the event. A 1-hour
lunch break will take place from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm each day. Software Checks will be on Monday, February 13th at two times: 9:00am and 1:00pm. Attendees must attend one of these time slots.
Prerequisites
Participants need to have a basic understanding of Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) using MicroStation, a basic understanding of OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition - OpenRoads Technology tools and a solid understanding of the engineering
necessary to design drainage improvements on a Roadway.
