The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) is embarking on the most significant stormwater rulemaking in a decade, directed by Governor DeSantis and the Florida Legislature with the passage of the 2020 Clean Waterways Act. The law was aimed at reducing the impact of nutrient pollution on Florida’s waterways, and it directed the FDEP to strengthen the regulatory requirements of stormwater management. After a year of Technical Advisory Committee meetings, and another year of rule development workshops, we are finally on the verge of a final rule. Come join us for an in-depth discussion of the new stormwater rules with Jeff Littlejohn, P.E., environmental consultant for the Florida Engineering Society and American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida.
