Lab Summary

This is a 2-day training course that will go over the fundamentals for developing Traffic Plans. Participants will be introduced to Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD)CONNECT Edition – FDOT Traffic Tools developed for OpenRoads Technology specifically for Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) projects using the FDOTCONNECT Workspace. This training lab will be utilizing the 2024 FDOT Traffic Plans Course Guide.

A 1-hour lunch break will take place from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm each day.

Virtual Registration

The software checks and training lab will be hosted virtually through Microsoft TEAMS. Details for the software check will be included in the confirmation email. In order to participate fully, please be sure your software is up to date and that the dataset is downloaded prior to the software check. You will receive more information in your confirmation email. The Software Checks will be held Tuesday, March 19th, at 9:00am and 1:00pm. Attendees need only attend one of these time slots.

FDOTConnect CADD Software

Participants need to have a basic understanding of Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) using MicroStation, a basic understanding of OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition - OpenRoads Technology tools and a solid understanding of the engineering necessary to design FDOT Traffic Plans on a Roadway.

Cancellation, Refunds, & Substitutions

If circumstances change and you can no longer attend this event, you may cancel your registration by providing written notice to the FES|ACEC Florida team at mwhittington-baschoff@fleng.org.

Registrations may be refunded if cancellation is made at least 10 business days prior to the event. Cancellations received after the cancellation cutoff will not receive a refund. Substitutions can be made at any time prior to the event date.
