The Education Committee shall be responsible for the planning, promotion, and administration of activities which support engineering education.

The Interest Groups Committee shall evaluate engineering matters that affect the public and the profession. When appropriate, the committee shall make recommendations to the Commission on Government and Legislative Affairs on issues pertaining to the practice of engineering. This committee shall also review presentations and seminars and determine if they meet the requirements for continuing education credits. Sub-committees are open to all FES members to join.

The Society Development Committee shall be responsible for the planning, promotion, and administration of activities that advocate licensure, promote the ethical and competent practice of engineering, enhance the image and well-being of all engineers in the State of Florida, and further the public’s knowledge and understanding of the importance of the profession.

The Operations Committee includes the Budget and Nomination Subcommittees. Membership is comprised of representatives of the FES Executive Committee.

The Florida Engineers in Construction (FECON) is one of the five practice sections of the Florida Engineering Society representing those members who are engaged in construction or design/construction, or an FES member whose interest is primarily in the construction field.

The Florida Engineers in Education or FEE is one of the five practice sections of the Florida Engineering Society representing those members who are engaged in teaching, research, or administration in the field of education. Any member of FES may participate in the activities of this section subject to the FEE Rules of Government and Operations.

The Florida Engineers in Government (FPEG) is one of the five practice sections of the Florida Engineering Society representing those members enhancing humanity and communities through public service and meeting public needs.

Florida Professional Engineers in Industry (FPEI), a practice section of FES, provides an effective forum for discussion and action on problems of common interest to engineers employed in industry; promotes the professional development, recognition, and economic interests of its members; and promotes cooperative relations between engineers and management in the furtherance of high standards of professional service employment.

The Florida Engineering Leadership Institute (FELI) was created with the mission to transition engineering professionals into community professionals and leaders within our societies, communities, and workplaces. Through its initial 10-month class, FELI enhances the leadership skills of its participants and sets out a clear pathway to put these skills into practice serving our profession and our communities.
